The dot marks the average, so its position shows whether the catalog clusters low or high within its range.

What you can see

  • The number of products in the public catalog
  • The number of variants and the average per product
  • The share of variants out of stock and on sale
  • Products published in the last 90 days
  • The price range across the catalog

You know whether you are looking at a focused store or a warehouse before scrolling a single page.

How it works

From catalog pages to one number.

  1. Open a Shopify store

Start the analysis from the storefront.

  2. Evidio reads the catalog

The store's public product feed is read page by page.

  3. See the count and its detail

Products, variants, availability and recent additions appear together.

  4. Compare catalogs

Put the store next to others to see who runs a narrow range and who runs a wide one.

When it helps

Size up a store before you study it.

The situation

A store's homepage shows a dozen products. It might sell twelve or twelve hundred, and paging through collections to find out wastes an afternoon.

With Evidio

The analysis gives the catalog's size and depth in one line. A one-product store and a two-thousand-product store call for different research, and you know which one you have.

Questions it helps answer

  • How many products does this store sell?
  • Is it a one-product store or a broad catalog?
  • Is it still adding products?
Read the signal correctly

What is public is what is counted.

Evidio counts the products a store publishes: drafts, hidden and unpublished products are not visible. The feed is read up to 2,000 products, shown as 2,000+ beyond that. When a store blocks its product feed, Evidio falls back to its public collection or sitemap, and the count is less precise.

Frequently asked questions

Does the count include out-of-stock products?

Yes. Published products are counted whether or not they are in stock, and the out-of-stock share is shown separately, by variant.

Why might the count differ from the store's real total?

Drafts and unpublished products are not public, very large catalogs are read up to 2,000 products, and a blocked product feed forces a less precise fallback.

Can I see how a catalog changes?

The extension compares a new analysis with the previous one when you keep analyzed stores automatically. The catalog comparison page explains how.
