What you can see

  • The brand colors the theme declares, as hex values
  • Click a color to copy its hex code
  • The font families the storefront loads
  • The weights loaded for each family, when the font files say so
  • A link to find each font

You get the exact colors and fonts instead of guessing from a screenshot.

How it works

From theme settings to palette.

  1. Analyze a store

The palette and fonts are read with the rest of the analysis, with no extra request.

  2. Read the colors

Copy any hex value from the palette.

  3. Read the type

See each font family and its weights, and open it to find the files.

When it helps

Study a brand's visual choices precisely.

The situation

You like a store's look and want its exact colors and fonts for a mood board or a client brief. Picking colors from a screenshot gives approximations, and fonts are hard to name by eye.

With Evidio

The analysis reads the colors and fonts the theme declares. You copy exact hex values and see the font names, instead of guessing.

Questions it helps answer

  • Which colors define this store's brand?
  • Which fonts does it use?
  • How do palettes compare across a niche?
Read the signal correctly

What the theme declares, not every color on screen.

Evidio reads colors from the theme settings written in the page and filters out decorative values. Settings kept in external stylesheets, or written in formats it does not read, are missed. Weights appear only when the font files name them. Images and app widgets can add colors that are not listed.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the colors come from?

From the CSS variables a Shopify theme writes into the page, which reflect the settings the merchant chose in the theme editor. Evidio keeps the brand colors and filters out decorative ones.

Where can I see the palette?

In the extension's tools, where you can copy each color, and on the store's page in your Cloud workspace. The comparison view shows palettes side by side.

Why are some fonts missing their weights?

Weights are read from the names of the font files the store loads. Self-hosted fonts or other formats do not always carry them.
