What is Evidio exactly?

Which browsers are supported?

Accepted Answer

Evidio works on Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Opera: any Chromium-based browser that supports the Side Panel API.

Do I need an account to use Evidio?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a free account is required for all plans. It takes 10 seconds to sign up (email or Google) and lets us track your monthly usage so you always know how many analyses you have left.

Can I detect stores that aren't on Shopify?

Accepted Answer

Evidio is built specifically for Shopify. Non-Shopify stores won't trigger the inspector. The SERP Radar will skip them automatically on Google results.

How does the Lifetime offer work?

Accepted Answer

Lifetime is a one-time purchase for permanent access to the Evidio Chrome extension, the complete local dashboard and the local features included in the offer. It includes future improvements to those extension and local features. It does not include Evidio Cloud, cloud synchronization, hosted storage, team collaboration, API capacity or other services with recurring infrastructure costs. Those services may be offered later through a subscription or a separate add-on.

What is excluded from Lifetime?

Lifetime excludes hosted services that create recurring costs, including the Evidio Cloud workspace, cloud synchronization, hosted storage, team collaboration and API usage. Your extension and local dashboard remain fully usable without those services.

What is the difference between Pro and Lifetime?

Accepted Answer

Lifetime gives permanent access to the Chrome extension and complete local dashboard with no recurring payment. Pro is a recurring subscription that includes the local product and is entitled to supported Evidio Cloud services when they become available. Lifetime customers may purchase a separate cloud add-on later without losing their permanent local access.

What happens when I reach my monthly limit?

You'll see a notification when you hit your analysis limit. Your existing data stays accessible: you just can't run new analyses until the counter resets on the 1st of next month.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. All paid plans have a 14-day money-back guarantee, as long as fewer than 25 analyses have been used since the purchase. Use the online withdrawal function or contact us within 14 days of purchase.

Yes! Yearly billing includes 2 months free. Pro goes from €49/month to €40.83/month (€490/year), and Agency from €119/month to €99.17/month (€1,190/year). All displayed prices include applicable taxes; the final tax breakdown is shown at checkout.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. Your data is never deleted when changing plans.

Traffic estimates are great for comparing stores and spotting trends. Think of them as competitive benchmarks: perfect for identifying who's growing, who's spending on ads, and where the opportunities are.

How do I activate my license after purchase?

Accepted Answer

It's automatic! After payment, your account is upgraded instantly. Just make sure you're logged in with the same email you used to purchase, and the extension will detect your plan within seconds.

What data formats can I export?

CSV, Excel (.xlsx), and JSON. Each export includes up to 30 data columns per store: URL, score, traffic, apps, pixels, contacts, catalog stats, and more.

Can stores see that I'm analyzing them?

No. Evidio works like a regular browser visit. Store owners cannot distinguish your visit from any other visitor.

Is my research data private?

Yes. Your analyzed stores, saved products, and dashboard data are stored locally on your device. We never see or store your research on our servers. The only thing we track is your monthly usage counter.

Do you sell my data?

Never. We don't collect, store, or sell any personal data or research data. Evidio is a tool, not an ad platform. Our revenue comes from subscriptions only.

Question 21

Why is traffic data sometimes unavailable?

Accepted Answer

Traffic data comes from an external provider (SimilarWeb) that limits how many requests can be made per minute. If you scroll very fast through Google results, analyze many stores in a row, or refresh repeatedly, the provider may temporarily block your IP. When this happens, the extension shows a countdown and automatically re-fetches the data as soon as the limit is lifted. To avoid this: analyze the stores that interest you in depth before moving on, and don't scroll Google results too quickly.

Why don't I always see the top 10 best-sellers?

To stay fast and not overload the store, Evidio fetches up to roughly 1,000 products from the catalog. If a store has 5,000 products and some of their best-sellers sit beyond the first 1,000, they can't appear in our ranking. It's rare (most best-sellers are pushed near the top), but it happens on very large stores. The best-sellers shown are still the ones the store highlights most. So they remain highly relevant.

Why does Ad Research find no ads even though a pixel is detected?

A detected pixel means the store has installed a tracking tool (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads…) on their site, but it doesn't necessarily mean they have active ads right now. Ad libraries (Meta Ad Library, TikTok Library, etc.) only show live campaigns. The store may have paused its ads, temporarily stopped a campaign, or set up the pixel in advance before launching. Come back a few days later: the ads may reappear.

Why is there a small hourglass on my score?

That's a preliminary score. The core analysis is done, but traffic data is still being fetched. As soon as it arrives, the score is recalculated and the hourglass disappears. Meanwhile, you can already use all other data (apps, pixels, catalog, best-sellers).

Why do some products show 'Unlimited stock'?

Accepted Answer

It means the store hasn't enabled inventory tracking on that product: in theory, infinite quantities can be ordered. This is typical of dropshipping and print-on-demand stores, where stock is handled by the supplier. Good signal: these stores almost never go out of stock, which often means the product sells really well.

Why do I only see 5 apps on some stores?

That's a Free plan limit: you see the first 5 detected apps, the rest are hidden. With Pro, you get the full list of 180+ detectable apps (reviews, email, upsell, ad pixels, payment methods, etc.).

Why are scores blurred on Google results?

On the Free plan, opportunity scores shown on Google search results are intentionally blurred to let you discover the extension. Everything still works: you can still see which stores run on Shopify. But precise scores require the Pro plan.

Why doesn't the inspector open on some stores?

Accepted Answer

The inspector only activates on Shopify stores. If the site runs on WooCommerce, Wix, PrestaShop, Magento or other platforms, the extension detects that and won't run an analysis. We focus on Shopify to guarantee accurate data. Support for other platforms is on the roadmap.

Why does Evidio analyze every store when I browse Google?

That's by design! SERP Radar automatically scans Google results to detect Shopify stores and calculate their opportunity score. So you get instant insights without lifting a finger. If you prefer to analyze stores manually, simply toggle off 'Auto-analyze' in the extension settings. You'll still be able to trigger an analysis on any store with one click.

Why do some analyses feel 'old'?

To save your quota and respect store servers, Evidio keeps analyses in memory for 24 hours. If you reopen the same store within a day, you get the same result without using a new analysis credit. If you want fresh data, click 'Re-analyze' in the detailed view. That forces a new fetch (and uses 1 credit from your quota).

I can't find any email or phone on some stores: why?

Evidio scans the homepage, contact page and footer to find contact info. Some stores deliberately hide it (form-only), use an image instead of text, or place their details inside legal pages in an uncommon language. Our extraction catches the majority of emails and phones, but not 100%: this is a technical limit shared by all extensions of this kind.

Why does Lighthouse require an API key?

Performance analysis uses Google's PageSpeed API directly, which requires a personal (free) API key. This lets us avoid charging you for that service and gives you generous quotas. You can create your key in 30 seconds from your Google account, paste it into the settings, and you're good forever.

Question 33

How is the opportunity score calculated?

The score out of 100 combines up to 14 measurable factors: traffic volume, trend and sources, visitor engagement, detected ad pixels, tech stack, social presence, domain maturity, store activity, catalog size, price level, sales proof, and search visibility and context. A factor that cannot be measured on a given store is left out of the calculation rather than counted as zero, and the inspector shows the points earned by each one.

I switched computers: do I keep my saved stores?

Your analyses and saved stores are kept locally in your browser, not on our servers (for privacy reasons). On a new computer, you start with an empty dashboard. Cloud sync across devices is in development: check our roadmap. In the meantime, you can export your data (CSV, Excel, JSON) from your old device and keep it as a backup.

Does the extension work in private / incognito mode?

Technically yes, but you need to allow the extension in private mode from your browser settings, and your analysis history will be erased when the private window closes. For normal use, we recommend regular browsing.

Why do I have to log in again on my second device?

Accepted Answer

To keep your account secure and respect plan limits (Free = 1 device, Pro/Lifetime = 2 registered devices with 1 active at a time, Agency = up to 3 active simultaneously), each device needs to log in separately with the same account. If you hit the limit, the extension automatically frees the oldest inactive device after 10 minutes of inactivity.

I just paid, but my plan still shows 'Free'

Activation is automatic within seconds of payment. If it doesn't happen: 1) Make sure you're logged into the extension with the email you used to pay. 2) Open the extension dashboard: it auto-resyncs. 3) If still nothing, log out then log back in. As a last resort, contact us with your Stripe receipt number.

Question 38

How do I cancel my subscription?

From your online Evidio dashboard, open the Billing section and click 'Manage my subscription': this opens the Stripe portal where you can cancel in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your Pro access until then. No action needed on our side.

Can I get an invoice for my company?

Accepted Answer

Yes, an official invoice is generated for every payment and emailed to you. You can also find invoices in the Stripe portal from your dashboard. Enter a valid VAT number before payment when applicable; Stripe applies the appropriate tax treatment and shows the final breakdown at checkout.

What happens if my payment fails?

Accepted Answer

Stripe automatically retries the payment over several days. You'll get emails asking to update your payment method. If no payment goes through after multiple attempts, your account reverts to the Free plan, but your data (saved stores, products, tags) stays intact. You can reactivate your plan at any time without losing anything.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to your online dashboard, Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, licenses, and all your records on our side. Data stored locally in your extension (analyzed stores, products) can also be cleared from the extension settings, in the 'Danger zone' section.
